“re.green is born from science, contains science and intends to do a lot of science.”
Bernardo Strassburg, Founder and Co-CEO
re.green aims at developing and sharing scientific knowledge. We invest in Research and Development to advance our thesis and support knowledge for the 5-star restoration we provide in our projects.
Our scientists are renowned in their fields of study, have years of research and on-the-field experience and work with major educational institutions to further expand knowledge.
Through our researchers we have already influenced more than 1,000 scientific articles relevant to our development.
In 2022, Bernardo Strassburg, our Co-CEO and founder, and Pedro Brancalion, who is a partner at re.green as well as coordinator of large-scale research and technology projects, were recognized among the 20 most influential Brazilian scientists in the world. In addition, Pedro also received the Excellence Award for New Leadership in Research at USP (University of São Paulo).
In less than a year, our R&D program has already delivered significant innovations in areas such as automation of spatial analysis for land acquisition, operational process improvements for project implementation, and development of new business models beyond carbon and native forest management.
Research and Development
re.green’s knowledge comes from extensive research. Our R&D program operates on three levels:
We carry out research on topics that support and expand re.green’s activities
We develop cutting-edge research with the aim of increasing knowledge in Brazil and around the world, increasing local scientists’ interest in the field and expanding impact.
Expanding knowledge about tropical forests so that their importance continues to gain global recognition.
